Jacob is CIO of Antipodes, Lead PM of Global strategies and co-PM of the Emerging Markets strategy. He has responsibility for the firm-wide investment philosophy and process.
In 2015, Jacob leveraged his 20 years of investment management expertise to establish Antipodes, a renowned global asset manager with approximately A$10 billion in assets under management (AUM). Headquartered in Sydney, with investment teams located in London and Toronto, Antipodes specialises in a pragmatic value approach to investment. The experienced team searches the world for investment opportunities that are mispriced relative to their business resilience and growth profile and constructs portfolios with a strong focus on capital preservation.
Prior to Antipodes, Jacob spent 14 years at Platinum Asset Management where he was the Deputy Chief Investment Officer jointly responsible for the firm-wide investment process, and a Portfolio Manager of the flagship Platinum International Fund. During his time, he also served as Portfolio Manager for the Platinum Unhedged Fund and the Platinum Japan Fund prior to his departure.
Before joining Platinum, Jacob was Head of Technology and Emerging Industrials Research at UBS Warburg Australia. He commenced his investment career in 1994 at high conviction, value oriented Australian equities manager, Tyndall Australia, where he was hired and trained as an investment analyst by industry doyen Peter Pedley.

Managing Director & CEO
Andrew is chief executive officer and managing director of Antipodes.
Andrew has over 20 years experience in financial services across Australia, Hong Kong and Europe. His core focus has been on business management, product development, marketing and distribution.
Prior to joining Antipodes Andrew was a senior executive at Pinnacle Investment Management Limited which he joined in 2009. At Pinnacle he worked with investment professionals across a range of asset classes to establish, manage and grow their businesses. Before joining Pinnacle, Andrew worked at Macquarie Bank for over 5 years, based in both Sydney and Hong Kong. While at Macquarie, Andrew led the establishment of the ‘Macquarie Professional Series’ – a range of partnerships with world-class specialist investment managers.
Earlier in his career Andrew worked in a variety of financial marketing roles with Deutsche Bank in Australia, and with UBS in Zurich and London.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.
Alison represents the Antipodes investment team as investment director.
Prior to joining Antipodes Alison was an investment analyst with Smith Tan Asset Management in Singapore and a deputy portfolio manager at Kingfisher Investments, a Singapore-based family office. From 2004 to 2015 Alison was a senior investment analyst at Platinum Asset Management where she covered a range of sectors in Asia, with a focus on India, ASEAN and South Korea.
After being selected in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s graduate program Alison commenced her investment career at AspectHuntley (now Morningstar) as an associate analyst with responsibility for a portfolio of Australian small cap stocks.
Alison holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Finance and Accounting from the University of New South Wales.
Graham is a portfolio manager with coverage of hardware, industrial and commodity stocks on a global basis.
Prior to joining Antipodes in 2015, Graham worked at Perennial International Equities where he was portfolio manager of the Global Shares High Alpha Trust and co-manager of the Wholesale International Share Trust. Graham was also head of research for 6 years and covered the global technology, content and communications sectors.
Graham has extensive experience analysing and managing global long/short equity portfolios in a career spanning more than 20 years, including active coverage of the Japanese market. From 2007 to 2009 Graham was a portfolio manager at Merrill Lynch Strategic Investment Group in London, responsible for managing a global equity market neutral portfolio. He also held senior equity analyst and portfolio management roles at BlueCrest Capital in London (2005 – 2007) and First State Investments UK/Legal & General (1993 – 2004).
Graham holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Finance, Honours) from the University of Western Sydney. He has also completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Programme, Sydney Futures Exchange Registered Representatives Programme and is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (formerly AIMR) and London Society of Investment Professionals.
Rameez is a portfolio manager with responsibility for quantitative systems, macroeconomics and currency.
Prior to joining Antipodes in 2015 Rameez was an investment analyst at Platinum Asset Management for 7 years where he was a senior member of the quantitative and macroeconomic team. While at Platinum he led the build-out of the stock/sector screening and currency/macroeconomic frameworks and other investment team facing systems.
Earlier in his career Rameez worked with the Australian Securities Exchange in a client servicing capacity. He also has extensive experience in the field of software and electrical engineering, working for Qiiss Global, the Upper Parramatta River Catchment Trust, Oriium Consulting and Zubi Consulting (founder) in both project management and development roles.
Rameez holds a combined Bachelor of Commerce (Commercial Law and Finance) and Bachelor of Engineering (Software, Honours) from the University of Sydney.
James is portfolio manager of the Europe/North America Domestic team, with coverage of consumer, domestic services, financials, technology, media and telecommunications.
Prior to joining Antipodes in 2015, James was an investment analyst in the Asia team at Platinum Asset Management.
From 2008 to 2013, James was a member of the ANZ Generalist Banker Program, culminating in his appointment as Head of Financial Institutions at ANZ Papua New Guinea. His diverse experience included working in Treasury, Institutional Bad Loans (Lending Services), Corporate Finance, Trade Finance, Mortgages Credit and Debt Capital Markets across Australia, Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea. Prior to this James worked in a family office as an investment analyst.
James holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from Monash University in Melbourne. He has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance at FINSIA and a Graduate Certificate of Management (Leadership and Negotiation) from Melbourne Business School.
Vihari Ross is a portfolio manager with global coverage.
Prior to joining Antipodes in 2023, Vihari was at Magellan for 15 years. Most recently she was head of research, responsible for the management of the 30-person global research team. During this time Vihari also designed and was portfolio manager for the ‘Core International’ portfolio. Prior to this, Vihari was sector head of (consumer) franchises and in her earlier years at the firm covered the financial and consumer sectors as an investment analyst.
From 2003-2007 Vihari was at Ausbil Dexia, responsible for coverage of the financial and consumer sectors as well as quantitative analysis.
She commenced her investing career at Commonwealth Investment Management from 2000 – 2002 in a strategy and research role.
Vihari holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies and Finance) and a Master of Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales and is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries.
Nick is a portfolio manager with responsibility for researching healthcare stocks on a global basis.
Prior to joining Antipodes, Nick was an investment analyst with Watermark Funds Management in Sydney where he managed a long-short global equities portfolio in the healthcare sector. Previously he worked as an investment and M&A analyst for private medical services provider Genesis Care where he focused on new business development and acquisition opportunities in the radiation oncology, cardiology and sleep medicine sectors. Nick also has experience covering the healthcare and biotechnology sectors as an equity analyst with Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse.
After completing a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Biotechnology with Honours, Nick obtained his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Griffith University in Queensland.
Max is portfolio manager with responsibility of infrastructure, utilities, property and telecommunications.
Max joined Antipodes in 2016 where he previously had coverage across consumer, domestic services, financials and infrastructure stocks across Asia and emerging markets.
Prior to joining Antipodes Max was an investment analyst at Harness Asset Management. He covered Australian smaller companies with a focus on identifying high conviction long and short ideas.
From 2012 to 2015, Max was a director of research at Investing for Charity, a charitable fund run by students and young professionals. He was a member of the investment committee and led the equity research team.
Max holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from JAMK University of Applied Sciences in Finland, a Masters of Commerce in Funds Management from the University of New South Wales and a Masters of Professional Accounting from Holmes Institute. He is a native Russian speaker.
John is portfolio manager of the Emerging Markets domestic team, with coverage of consumer, domestic services, financials, technology, media and telecommunications
Prior to joining Antipodes in 2018, John was a sell-side Analyst with Morgan Stanley for four years focusing on emerging Australian companies in the retail, aged care and auto industries. Before this, John held Research Analyst roles with Bligh Capital Securities and Colonial First State.
John holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies) and a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) from the University of New South Wales and is a CFA charter holder. John is fluent in Greek.
Andy is a member of the Hardware, Industrials and Commodities team.
Prior to joining Antipodes in 2017, Andy spent eight years as a Director, European industrials specialist sales, at Deutsche Bank. He also spent two years as an Associate, European midcap., generalist, and industrials specialist sales, at Morgan Stanley. Before this, he was responsible for coverage of the energy, infrastructure and utility sectors in the Audit and Advisory team at Deloitte & Touche for three years.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science (Astrophysics, First Class Honours) from University College London.
Senior Investment and ESG Analyst
Cleo is a member of the Europe/North America Domestic team.
Prior to joining Antipodes as a founding team member in 2015, Cleo was a Senior Investment Analyst at Perennial International Equities for 10 years (based in London for over three years) primarily responsible for coverage of the global consumer and healthcare sectors.
Cleo commenced her career at QIC as a Research Analyst in Australian equities with responsibility for the gaming and leisure sector, as well as diversified financials, regional banks, property and small capitalisation stocks.
Cleo holds a combined Bachelor of Business (Management) and Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investments from FINSIA.
Senior Investment and ESG Analyst
Owen is an investment and ESG analyst based in London with coverage of industrial and commodity stocks on a global basis.
Prior to joining Antipodes, Owen was an analyst at Schroders in London with a focus on the materials and energy sectors. He also worked as a sell-side research analyst with Morgan Stanley with coverage of global resources companies.
Earlier in his career he was an associate at Goldman Sachs in London undertaking equity research in the metals and mining sectors.
Owen began his investment career in London as an intern with Credit Suisse after completing a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Southampton) and a Master of Science in Russian Studies at Oxford University.
Corporate Affairs Manager
Camilla is Corporate Affairs Manager, with responsibilities across communications, culture and strategy.
Prior to joining Antipodes, Camilla spent five years with RARE Infrastructure as a senior investment operations analyst. Camilla has also worked in client services with RBC Investor Services and in fund administration at Platinum Asset Management.
Camilla holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University.
Kusal is a member of the Investor Communications team.
Prior to joining Antipodes in 2021, Kusal was Senior Investment Specialist for AMP Capital’s global equities business. From 2015 to December 2016, Kusal also managed the investor relations program of AMP Capital’s Asian equities business which included the listed investment company (ASX: AGF). Previously he worked as an Investor Relations Consultant and in Corporate Advisory for a Western Australian wealth manager and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Australia.
Kusal holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics & Finance) and a Master of Accounting from Curtin University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (GradDipCA) from Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
Sam is a member of the Investor Communications team.
Prior to joining Antipodes in 2021, Sam was a Senior Investment Analyst at JANA where he was a member of the global equity manager research team. At JANA Sam provided advice to institutional, wealth and implemented consulting clients. Prior to JANA, Sam worked in various funds management distribution roles at Nikko, MFS and BNP.
Sam has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University where he was the recipient of the ‘Applied Finance Prize – Private Wealth Management’.
